The Dinosaur shoot’s almost wrapped but Mark’s in the States til Monday, filming a tiny bit more footage (they can only do a small bit per day, when the guys are free) and hanging with the band, which for a big fan like Mark is quite a weird experience. Last night they watched Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story together, eating pizza. And yesterday it got weirder, there was no hairbrush on set so Mark had to comb J Mascis’s hair with his fingers.
Mike Watt (of the infamous Missingmen, fIREHOSE and lately The Stooges) is out there too, opening the shows, and has not one but two cameos in the video. (High Wattage!) He’s blogging about the tour and mentions ‘video cat Mark’ on his immense website here and here.
